If you love sweet, you will love this, only small slivers needed, though multiple small slivers is probably a must.
What you need:
- 250g butter, chopped coarsley
- 180g white chocolate, chopped coarsley
- 1 1/2 cups caster sugar
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups plain flour
- 1/2 cup self raising flour
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 eggs, beaten lightly
White chocolate ganache
- 1/2 cup thickened cream
- 360g white chocolate, chopped finely
What you do:
- Preheat oven to 170 degrees celsius. Grease a deep 20cm round cake pan, line base and side with baking powder.
- Stir butter, chocolate, sugar and milk in a medium saucepan over low heat until smooth. Transfer mixture to a large bowl, cool for 15 minutes.
- Whisk the flours, extract and beaten egg into the chocolate mixture, pour the mixture into the cake pan.
- Bake cake for about 1 hour 40 minutes; cool in the pan.
- Turn the cake, top side up, onto a serving plate. Spread ganache all over cake.
White chocolate ganache
- Bring the cream to the boil in a small saucepan. Pour cream over chocolate in a medium heatproof bowl, stir until smooth, cover. Refrigerate, stirring occasionally, for about 30 minutes or until spreadable.
