I love cake, and when I was asked if I would like to spend an afternoon chatting to fellow food lovers, while eating cake i didn’t have to be asked twice.
The Canberra Cake Club’s March Cakeup was held at the Mint Bar, just a hop skip and jump from the city centre. Set amongst a mix of vertical gardens, potted plants and rustics table settings the Mint Bar offered the perfect backdrop for my high tea settings filled of course with the tastiest selection of cakes.
Meeting once a month this brilliant idea solely evolves around people who love to cook, eat and talk cake. This months theme cocktail, inspired some scrumptious creations, with cakes tasting like mojitos, fruit tingles, limoncello and pims and dry. A great afternoon had by all, especially me 🙂
