Tea Parties: My First High Tea Experience

What a fun couple of hours with the girls, helping to celebrate a friends upcoming wedding by drinking tea, eating beautiful cakes and pastries and feeling like a lady.

Leaving my three-month son with his dad for the first time was a little nerve-racking but the excitement of not having to go somewhere with milk vomit on my shoulder or having to wear a maternity bra was a bit of a thrill!!! Plus I love tea and cakes, in my world this is the perfect combination.

The Hyatt offered a stunning venue for a girls high tea, transporting us back to the early 1900’s where fine china, sliver teaspoons and vases of fragrant flowers added to the dining experience. The ambience of the venue¬†combined with a cup of tea and a plate of tasty treats induced a sense of relaxation and made the two hours of girl time pass by in a flash.

I had such a great time I started to think how it would be possible to expand on my high tea experience and came up with the idea of ‘Sweet Tea’.
